Dentistry During COVID 19

 

The number one question. Is it safe to go to the dentist?

The answer is YES!

 

Your dentist has always practiced the most regimented safety and infection protocol for treating patients. During this time new safety and infection control measures have been added.

 

Here’s what you can expect.

•dental professionals will be wearing more PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

•patients will be required to wear a mask or facial shield

•patients will be screened before the appointment (questionnaire and temperature)

•all staff is also screened twice per day

•appointments will be spread out to disinfect rooms before the next patient and for social distancing

•waiting rooms are closed. You will be asked to wait outside the office until your appointment time. Staff will notify you when it is your turn

•You will be asked to sanitize your hands before and after your appointment

•You will be asked to come to your appointment alone. Exceptions are made for small children and adults needing a caregiver. Parents and caregivers will also need to be screened. You will be asked to wait outside the exam room if accompanying a patient.

•You will not be allowed to use the bathroom on your visit.

 

 

Your dental office is governed by the strict guidelines set by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

 

These rules are set so that we may continue to provide the patient with a safe and worry-free environment.

 

While our world has dramatically changed. One fact is certain. Untreated dental problems only get worse. Rest assured your dental office is SAFE!
