Inlays & Onlays
What are Inlays and Onlays?
Inlays and Onlays are used to restore teeth that have been damaged due to decay or trauma. They may also be used to replace older larger filings or when the cavity is too large for a filling. They are placed in or on the tooth depending on the extent of the damage. Generally, they are used on back teeth as these teeth tend to have the most decay.
Inlays fill the gap in the tooth.
Onlays are placed on the top of the tooth
Inlays and Onlays give the teeth a more natural appearance.
They are generally made from porcelain or resin. They will be matched to the natural colour of your teeth
Procedure
